If you find yourself anywhere near rue Saint-Honoré, Paris anytime this month, be sure to swing by fashion, art and design store, Colette.
There you’ll find an exhibition by Jean-Michel Tixier, a collection of his editorial illustrations for Le Monde spanning over a year, which will be on show until the end of the month.
In bold, simple lines and with a clear, sharp wit to match, Jean-Michel Tixier makes playful commentary on his observations of the everyday.
Since October 2014, Jean-Michel has been creating editorial work as a reaction to weekly trends and cultural news for Le Monde newspaper’s weekend supplement, ‘M, le magazine du Monde’.
He flirts with the absurd and fun but presents an almost uncomfortably accurate portrayal of the world we live in.
The show runs until the end of the month and if you head down soon, you should be able to pick up a limited edition hard back book of Jean-Michel’s work.
Ends 30th January, 2016 at Colette Paris. Hardback book in an edition of 1000, €30.
